Hot Chip have announced details of a new, one-off single to be released in UK on July 22nd. Dark and Stormy will be released on 10″ and download and is the first new Hot Chip recording since 2012′s hugely acclaimed In Our Heads (which featured in The Guardian, MOJO, The Sun, Mixmag and DJ Mag’s Top 20 albums of the year). Like that album, Dark and Stormy was recorded with Mark Ralph at Club Ralph studio in London. It also features Charles Hayward from This Heat/About Group guesting on drums.

The single’s B side is a new version of In Our Heads’ Look At Where We Are featuring Tori and Reiko Kudo from the legendary Japanese folk-psych collective Maher Shalal Hash Baz who have revocalled the track in their native tongue.

Hot Chip will play a series of summer festivals across the globe including at UK festival exclusive at Latitude (on before the mighty Kraftwerk on Saturday July 20th) – all current live dates are listed here.
